| First
and foremost, allow me to welcome you to my site. My name is Rob
Malatesta, and I'm an accredited personal trainer and lifestyle
consultant living in the Toronto area. I started on the path to
athletics many years ago and for quite some time was bent on playing
professional baseball after spending 15 years in various organizations.
During this period, I became fascinated with strength conditioning
and the enormous impact it had on my performance and that of others
in my field. Simply put, POWER EQUALS SUCCESS. There is no better way to describe it. Those familiar with individuals like Mark McGwire, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Albert Pujols and other Major League baseball players past and present can testify to this. A harder hit ball will carry farther and get to its destination quicker. A pitch thrown faster will leave hitters less time to react. A baserunner or fielder who runs faster will cover more territory and make more plays. Of course, this principle translates to other sports as well, and besides improved performance comes increased confidence, better health, a better sense of well being and greater attraction, having a better body that is far more functional, versatile and efficient than that of the average competitor. Chances are, if you have come to this site, you already recognize the benefits of being bigger, faster and stronger. The only issue is how to get there. I wondered this myself as I put myself through university, achieving an honorarium degree in kinesiology (sports science) and psychology, then furthering my credentials with my CFC (Certified Fitness Consultant) and PFLC (Personal Fitness and Lifestyle Consultant) certifications. From there, I went on to work in various establishments that included Premier/Curzons Fitness Clubs, Bally's Total Fitness and Fabulous Fitness Racquet Club. During this whole time, I gained | much
valuable insight and experience, but a dilemma remained: my vision
of a service that catered exclusively to elite athletes and their
very individual and unusual needs was sadly lacking. At TORONTO-MUSCLE.COM, I endeavour to go the extra mile to help those who want more than just general conditioning and improved health. Now it's time to break new barriers and reach new frontiers. From the amateur bodybuilder who wants more quality mass to the weekend athlete who demands more of his body, I have the experience and knowledge to take you to where you want to be. Unlike many
others in my field, my training didn't end with the assignment
of my degree, nor did it consist of a crash course in basic physiology.
Since 2001, I have been actively involved in research, including
a publication and various articles written concerning strength
training, plyometrics, sport-specific training, ergogenic enhancement
and pharmacokinetic influences. Particularly extensive has been
my research into the supplement industry, and I won't waste a
second to tell you that if you don't know what works (and what
doesn't), you'll be spinning your wheels for a long time. |
